Meeting Point

You will be met by the operator’s representative upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) after immigration and baggage clearance; alternatively you can be picked up from your Kathmandu hotel in Thamel (or your booked hotel in the city) for the transfer briefing before the Lukla flight.

  • Entrance fees for sightseeing attractions in the valley are excluded and payable separately.
  • Travel and rescue insurance is not included - you must arrange your own coverage.
  • Personal extras such as phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra porters, hot/cold drinks, showers, etc., are not included.
  • Tips for guides, porters and drivers are not included and are at your discretion.

  • Day 01 - Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m): our representative will meet you after landing and customs at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to a hotel in Thamel for your first night in the city.
  • Day 02 - Kathmandu Valley sightseeing: visit Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) by private vehicle to explore the cultural highlights of the valley.
  • Day 03 - Fly to Lukla (2,804 m) and trek to Phakding (2,610 m) - ~3 hours: early morning flight to Lukla, then trek via Cheplung village with views of Mt. Khumbila; overnight at Phakding.
  • Day 04 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) - ~5 hours: trek north up the Benkar valley, cross the Dudh Koshi and enter Sagarmatha National Park, arriving at Namche Bazaar.
  • Day 05 - Namche Bazaar acclimatization day: explore the town, hike up to Sagarmatha National Park viewpoints for sunrise mountain views or opt for a day hike to Khumjung village.
  • Day 06 - Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m) - ~5 hours: trek to Tengboche village and visit Tengboche Monastery within the UNESCO Sagarmatha National Park; you may observe a Buddhist ceremony if timing allows.
  • Day 07 - Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m) - 4–5 hours: descend to Debuche, cross the Imja River, pass Pangboche and continue through Imja Valley to Dingboche.
  • Day 08 - Acclimatization hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m) - 3–4 hours: a day hike from Dingboche to help acclimatize and enjoy views of Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu.
  • Day 09 - Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m) - 4–5 hours: continue the Himalayan trail toward the Everest region’s high camps, passing Dughla and arriving at Lobuche.
  • Day 10 - Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m) & walk to Gorak Shep (5,180 m) - 6–7 hours: long day to Gorak Shep, then walk to Everest Base Camp for close-up mountain views before returning to Gorak Shep.
  • Day 11 - Morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,555 m) & descend to Pheriche (4,200 m) - 5–6 hours: early hike up Kala Patthar for panoramic Everest views, then back to Gorak Shep for lunch and descend to Pheriche.
  • Day 12 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) - ~7 hours: descent through Pangboche and Tengboche, arriving back in Namche in the afternoon.
  • Day 13 - Trek to Lukla (2,804 m) - 5–6 hours: final trekking day to Lukla; relax, celebrate with your trekking group and overnight at a guesthouse.
  • Day 14 - Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu: early morning flight back to Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a cultural dinner in the evening.
  • Day 15 - Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure: you will be driven to the international airport for your onward journey.
  • Note - Flight contingency: to reduce the risk of missing your international flight you are advised to allow 2–3 extra days at the end of your trip because Kathmandu–Lukla flights are often delayed or canceled due to weather.
